Then Create a Passport ID and Password

17. ECR or ECNR :

As per Emigration Act (ECR), 1983 PSK office, Emigration Check Required (ECR) passport holder PSK office, need emigration clearance from Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs for applying visa to following 18 countries.

The following countries are Afghanistan, Malaysia, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Libya, Jordan, Yemen, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Thailand, Indonesia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Sudan, Iraq.

However, the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has permitted ECR passport holders India, the only purpose of traveling abroad with a valid passport, valid visa and return ticket at the immigration counters at any airports in India on 1st October 2007.

Also, the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has needed ECR passport holders the PSK Office India, the only purpose of work abroad in the above countries to endorsement in the PSK office.

How can I convert my ECR to a non-ECR passport?

22. Police Verification:

The police verification is necessary for security reasons to regard the issue of passports in India. Processing for a fresh or a reissue, police verification is required as per existing all documents of passport application

Also, there are three types of primary police verification:

Police Verification has been completed then issue passport: Pre Police Verification

The passport has been received after police verification: Post Police Verification
